“Rhinoceros Are Violent Animals” is the latest project by Núcleo M.E.S.A. – Montagens Experimentais Sociedade Anônima (Experimental Montages anonymous society). Created by Brazilian performers Juliana Valente and Francisco Turbiani, the project stems from a theatrical exploration of the text “Rhinoceros”, by Eugène Ionesco to discuss the value of life and authoritarianism in the contemporary world.

„Rhinoceros Are Violent Animals“ ist das neueste Projekt von Núcleo M.E.S.A. – Montagens Experimentais Sociedade Anônima (Anonyme Gesellschaft für experimentelle Montagen). Das von den brasilianischen Künstlern Juliana Valente und Francisco Turbiani ins Leben gerufene Projekt geht von einer theatralischen Auseinandersetzung mit Eugène Ionescos Stück „Rhinoceros“ aus, um den Wert des Lebens und Autoritarismus in der heutigen Welt zu thematisieren.
